My Journey: From Borrowed Brushes to Bridal Bliss

My name is Aisha Yusif, growing up, I often found myself sneaking into my mother’s makeup collection, enchanted by the , textures, and the way just a swipe of lipstick could brighten her face. Those stolen moments sparked a passion that would eventually shape my career.


Today, I am proud to say I’ve been a professional makeup artist for 10  years. My journey has been nothing short of transformative—working with an array of incredible clients, gaining valuable experience with MAC Cosmetics, and having the honor of training countless students who share my love for this art form.


Though my academic background is in Information Studies and Communication, my true calling has always been in the beauty industry. Weddings, in particular, hold a special place in my heart. There’s something magical about creating a look that enhances a bride’s natural beauty, making her feel like the most stunning version of herself on one of the most important days of her life.


My goal is simple: to make every bride I work with radiate confidence and elegance. It’s not just about makeup—it’s about capturing her essence and ensuring she feels as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside.


Beyond the makeup chair, I find joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking, baking, decorating my home, and making candles. These hobbies allow me to create, unwind, and celebrate the beauty in small things. I’m also deeply passionate about helping others achieve their goals, whether it’s through mentoring students or simply being part of someone’s transformational journey.


Whether I’m working on a bride, teaching a student, or perfecting a look behind the scenes, my mission remains the same: to transform, inspire, and bring out the beauty that lies within every person.

I am dedicated to providing exceptional artistry and creating a memorable experience for each client. Beauty, to me, is not just about how you look but also about how you feel. It's about embracing your uniqueness and celebrating your story.

It is such a privilege and honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day. Marriage is sacred, and it is beautiful. I would have never thought in a million years as a little girl clipping out my dream wedding looks and ideas that I would be a part of so many special wedding days as the bride’s makeup artist. However, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. It truly brings me so much joy just as it did those many years ago as a little girl. Is there something that you were so engrossed in as a child that brought you joy that you are doing now as an adult? Were you into arts and crafts? Sports? Cooking? If you haven’t tried your hand at it as an adult in a while, this is your sign to give it another try. You never know where it may lead you or the joy it may bring.
